Elif Demircan-Hüttemann
Acting Executive Director

Elif Demircan-Hüttemann has more than a decade of international relations and public affairs experience at NGOs, local governments and business associations. Elif is a consultant for business development in Europe region for IDEMA (International Development Management). Prior to joining IDEMA, Elif was leading the American Chamber of Commerce Turkey (AmCham Turkey/ABFT) as the Executive Director between the years 2012 and 2017, responsible for developing and implementing the organizational strategy in coordination with the Board of Directors. During her role, Elif communicated regularly with stakeholders and strategic partners worldwide including government representatives from Turkey, US and EU. She has also connected the organization with other AmChams across Europe, the Middle East and Caucasia to exchange expertise, governance practices and facilitate best practice sharing.

Before joining AmCham Turkey, Elif worked at the Şişli Municipality Istanbul as the Foreign Affairs Coordinator and the European Union Center Director. She coordinated foreign relations for the Municipality, strengthened networking capacity, built partnerships in EU countries and established working relations with local and international NGOs, universities, public bodies, trade unions, businesses, and business associations. She also worked at the ARI Movement as the Deputy Secretary General of International Relations. She served as the Project Coordinator of the Europa Handbook project as well as the Assistant Editor of Turkish Policy Quarterly (TPQ). Elif was born in Istanbul and earned her Bachelor's degree in Political Science from Istanbul University and Master's degree in EU Politics & International Relations from Marmara University. She is a PhD candidate in Political Science and International Relations at Marmara University.

Senior Communications Executive

Pinar Islak is the Senior Communications Executive of the American Business Forum in Turkey (AmCham Turkey/ABFT). Before joining ABFT, Pinar worked at Citibank Turkey as a Public Affairs Officer between 2006-2014, responsible for Media Relations, Reputation/Crisis Management, Event Management, Internal Communications and Corporate Social Responsibility. During 2015, she worked as a Communications Associate at AmCham UK, based in London. Pinar has her undergraduate degree in Sociology from Bogazici University. She holds an MBA degree from Galatasaray University and an MA degree in International Marketing from Cardiff Met University.

Tugce Duzen
Membership Relations Coordinator

Tugce Duzen is the Membership Relations Coordinator at American Business Forum in Turkey (ABFT/AmCham). Tugce earned her Bachelor’s degree on European Union Relations Department from Bahcesehir University. Before joining ABFT, she completed her internships at European Union Relations Information Center, Economic Development Foundation and ABFT/AmCham Turkey.

Office Manager

Didem Okutulmus is the Office Manager of the American Business Forum in Turkey (AmCham Turkey/ABFT). Before joining ABFT, Didem has worked at Demirbank, HSBC, Sekerbank as Commercial Banking Marketing Director for 17 years; responsible for preparing credit proposals for investing, international trading, business enterprise credits, pricing, risk following and portfolio management. Didem earned her Bachelor’s degree on Philosophy from Bogazici University.

Policy Manager
E. Rusen Inceoglu
Policy Manager

Ruşen İnceoğlu began his career as Management Trainee in Finance Department at Anadolu Group. Between 2005 and 2007, he served as Head of Country Communication Department in Istanbul for Turkish Industrialists and Businessmen's Association (TUSIAD), between 2007-2009, Economist and Policy Officer at TUSIAD Paris Representation Office in Paris, France. Upon his return in Turkey, Ruşen İnceoğlu served as Chairman's Office Manager and Corporate Communication Executive in Sütaş Group, Sectoral Policies Coordinator and Researcher at International Investors Association (YASED) and Corporate Communications and Investment Policies Manager at Association of Research Based Pharmaceutical Companies (AİFD).

Ruşen İnceoğlu holds a BA degree in international Relations from Galatasaray University (2004). He received his masters degree from Paris-II Pantheon Assas University in international economics in 2008, and from Galatasaray University in international relations in 2009. Between 2008-2010, he continued his academic record at Ecole des Hautes Etudes en Sciences Sociales (EHESS) Paris, as a researcher and PhD candidate in Development Economics. Ruşen İnceoğlu is fluent in French and English.
