GE Transportation and TÜLOMSAŞ Secure First Locomotive Order by Turkish Private Operator Korfez Ulastirma, logistics affiliate of Tüpraş
GE Transportation (NYSE:GE) will supply five diesel-electric locomotives to Korfez Ulastirma A.S., the subsidiary of Turkey’s largest refinery Tüpraş, operating in railway transportation. Korfez Ulastirma A.Ş. is the first private operator in Turkey to make such a purchase since the government began issuing licenses to use mainlines one year ago.
Goodyear will launch FUELMAX PERFORMANCE – its most fuel-efficient tire range yet – at IAA Commercial Vehicles 2018. The new tires have received an EU tire label grade ‘A’. The collection is comprised of steer and drive tires, a combination that could save up to 214,000 liters of diesel per year and reduce up to 557,000 kg of CO2 - saving up to 290,000 Euros in fuel costs.

Honeywell announced that Frans van Deursen, a business leader with more than 30 years’ experience in business leadership, has been appointed President of Turkey and Central Asia (Azerbaijan, Georgia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan). He replaces Orhan Genis who will be retiring from Honeywell after 28 years of service, the last 6 years as president.
HP Turkey Introduces Robotics and Coding Technology to the Koruncuk Children
HP Turkey, with the mission of providing equal education opportunities and improving the technological evolution of Turkey, introduces robotics and coding technologies to the Koruncuk Children. A technology lab equipped with HP products was established in Koruncukköy Bolluca as part of the project, which will continue for one year with contributions from nabutech trainers and HP volunteers.

Philip Morris/Sabancı, has established its Trigeneration Plant, one of the most advanced mini natural gas conversion unit at Philsa, it’s manufacturing centre in Torbalı, with an investment of 4.5 million dollars. Philsa is continuing its environmentally friendly investments by generating its own electricity, steam and heat required for its production and will be reducing its energy consumption and carbon emissions.
